First Entry

I have had a very difficult time in getting another dog. My last two died young after illnesses. The basset hound had to finally be put to sleep after 3 weeks of massive antibiotics to fight Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever - there was no improvement and the vet and I just did not want him to suffer anymore.
Got another at the local Humane Shelter. Maggie was with us for almost one week - the last 3 days at the Vet Hospital. She had come from the Shelter with something, most likely parvo. The Vet reported the Shelter and it was in quarantine for slightly over a week.
Working with local Rescue people here and am looking either for another Basset Hound or possibly a Terrier. Just need a good companion once again.
